Modding Underground 2 is a stack, not a folder of random ASIs. PCGamingWiki says Xtended Input, the widescreen fix, and Extra Options were written to share ThirteenAG's loader.
Suggested installation order
- Retail game plus the 1.2 patch.
- Widescreen fix, which brings dinput8.dll.
- Extra Options if you want unlocks and starting cash.
- Install Unlimiter only if the chosen car pack requires it, using that pack's specified release. The Linux addcars tool requires v4; this is not a universal requirement for every car or replacement pack.
- Xtended Input for a modern pad.
- Cars via Binary, then graphics, then HUD. Test between each.
Mod-pack compatibility checks
| Pair | Why |
|---|---|
| UG2.net and standalone ExOpts | The pack already includes ExOpts |
| Two dinput8.dll files | Only one file can occupy the same path. Use the loader specified by the pack rather than overwriting it without checking. |
| TexMod Redux plus another texture injector | Two texture injectors can conflict. Use the pack's documented combination and test in a backup copy; a crash is not inevitable on every setup. |

Questions people ask
What is the loader?
Ultimate ASI Loader, usually the dinput8.dll shipped with the ThirteenAG widescreen fix. ExOpts, Unlimiter, and Xtended Input expect that loader.
Can I install UG2.net on top of Extra Options?
No. underground2.net bundles its own ExOpts and HD reflections. Stacking a second copy is a known conflict.
Where are the files hosted?
Nexus Mods and NFSMods. This site does not rehost archives.
