underground2.net, also tagged ug2.net on NFSMods, is a community customization mod pack for Need for Speed: Underground 2. Identify it through the author's NFSMods page rather than assuming a similarly named domain is its download host.
What the publisher says
NFSMods mod 2004 is the author's page. On 23 October 2026 it listed version 1.0.3, customization changes, bundled ASI mods, and a prohibition on public reuploads. Use that page for release instructions; this guide does not mirror the files. The author's release trailer is available in the click-to-play video below.
How to install it without a second stack
Test the pack in a backed-up game folder before combining it with a hand-built mod stack. The author confirms bundled HD Reflections and Animation Controller among other ASIs. Check the actual included files before adding standalone ExOpts or replacing a shared loader; do not delete the entire scripts folder as a substitute for checking dependencies.

Questions people ask
Is ug2.net this mod?
Use NFSMods mod 2004 to identify the project. Its page uses underground2.net and ug2.net as search tags; a shortened name or a similarly named domain is not proof that you found the author's download.
What version is published?
The NFSMods page for mod 2004 lists 1.0.3 and says not to reupload the files.
Can I add standalone Extra Options?
Inspect the pack's included scripts before adding standalone plugins. The author page confirms bundled ASI mods including HD Reflections and Animation Controller, but does not establish compatibility with every ExOpts or Unlimiter release. Test the pack separately first.
