The career is told in calls and comic-style beats rather than long cutscenes. Three names matter if you are trying to follow the phone.
Rachel Teller
Voiced by Brooke Burke. She is your contact and the reason the first car is a 350Z. The car page is Rachel's 350Z. She is not a boss you race for the garage.
Caleb Reece
Voiced by David Palffy. He leads The Wraiths. Beating him is also the moment Fandom says every wide-body style opens in customise mode. That mechanical note is on unique upgrades.
Nikki Morris
Wikipedia records that she crosses over from the rivals. Treat longer personality write-ups on a wiki as the wiki's prose. I am not going to extend them.

Questions people ask
Who is the player?
An unnamed driver. The phone calls are how the story advances. You are not Rachel.
Who are The Wraiths?
The rival crew led by Caleb. Wikipedia names them as the antagonists.
Does Nikki stay with them?
Wikipedia says Nikki Morris changes sides during the story. Fandom's character pages are the place for a longer bio.
