The fixes below follow the messages that nfsu2.xyz itself shows when a browser cannot run the game, as published in its page code on 28 October 2026. The site says only Google Chrome and Firefox are tested. Start with the message you see on screen.
What the game needs
- A browser with WebGPU: a current Chrome or Firefox on a computer, or Chrome on Android.
- A secure page with threads and about 4 GB of memory available to the tab.
- Browser file storage for saves, so not a guest or private window.
- Room for the game data the site downloads and caches. Use Wi-Fi the first time; the settings panel can preload the data or delete it.
"This browser has no WebGPU"

Graphics errors and black screens
- Chrome cannot use the graphics at all: open chrome://settings/system, turn on graphics acceleration, restart Chrome. If it is already on, update the graphics driver.
- The graphics or driver may be too old: update the graphics driver, or try Chrome. In Firefox, about:support under Graphics says why.
- Firefox on a laptop with an NVIDIA or AMD card: in Windows Settings, System, Display, Graphics, set Firefox to High performance, then restart Firefox.
- The last game lost its graphics: the site reloads the page. Press Play again. Since 27 October the page says when the graphics were lost instead of calling them too old.
Stuck on loading
- Keep the tab visible while the first scene loads, and wait on a slow connection.
- Close other tabs running the game. The site runs one game per browser; a second tab becomes read-only until the first closes.
- Leave a private or guest window and use a normal one.
- Press Retry or Reload on the loading screen. If that fails, delete the game data from the settings panel and let it download again.
- Still stuck: use Download log and post it in #bug-reports on the project's Discord with what you were doing. The site does not answer support email.
Phones
Phones start with lighter graphics and load fewer nearby cars (16 on phones, 24 on tablets) because many cars at once can use more memory than they have. If the game stops without warning, the phone ran low on memory. Close other apps and keep the HD HUD pack off. Touch and tilt settings are on the controls page. If your phone cannot run it, see the Android emulation options instead of an APK.
This guide did not reproduce each error on every device. The steps are the project's own messages; your browser version may show newer ones.
Questions people ask
Why does nfsu2.xyz say my browser has no WebGPU?
The game draws with WebGPU. Update Chrome or Firefox first. On Linux, Chrome also needs chrome://flags/#enable-unsafe-webgpu, and Firefox needs dom.webgpu.enabled in about:config. Firefox for Android has no WebGPU yet, so use Chrome there.
Does nfsu2.xyz work on iPhone or iPad?
Only with WebGPU, which the site says comes with iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. Update the device under Settings, General, Software Update. A web page cannot go full screen on an iPhone.
Why did the game close on my phone?
The site's own message for this case says phones stop a game without warning when they run low on memory. Close other apps and tabs, and keep the default lighter phone graphics.
Can I play in a private or guest window?
Usually not. The site needs browser file storage for saves, and guest or private windows often cannot store files.
