There is nowhere official to check out a new digital copy. The purchase that matches the 2004 release is a physical disc.
What the stores showed on 23 October 2026
Steam's search for the full title did not list Underground 2. GOG's dreamlist page says the game was not found on GOG and only offers a wish. The EA Need for Speed site was promoting later entries. Those three checks are why this page does not show a buy button to a publisher store.
Which version to hunt
For physical copies, start with eBay's Underground 2 disc search or a local second-hand game shop. This is a marketplace search, not an endorsed seller, an affiliate link, or a promise of stock. Set the platform filter before comparing listings. There is no reliable single current price: condition, region, completeness, shipping, and seller all change it.
- Match the platform on the physical case and disc to the hardware or edition you plan to use.
- For PC, ask whether the original serial/manual and every installation disc are included. A loose second CD is not a complete install.
- Ask for clear disc-surface photos and a readable-disc check; an untested listing is a risk, not confirmation that it works.
- Check region and language before selecting the later regional 1.2 patch. A console disc is not PC installation media.
- Read the seller's returns terms and total delivered price. Avoid listings that substitute a downloaded repack, shared account, or supposed Steam key for the physical item.

The standard North American PC and console roster includes the Acura RSX and Honda Civic Si; the European roster instead has the Peugeot 106 and Vauxhall Corsa. Do not generalize that swap to every handheld or regional edition. See the car list.

There is no Steam product to attach a key to. A listing that says otherwise is not an EA store.
Which disc should I look for?
PC if you want mods. PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube if you want the original console. GBA and DS are different, smaller games.
Does the disc include the 1.2 patch?
Not always. PCGamingWiki recommends the 1.2 update. The patch collection is linked from the download page.
