People search for the icon and the logo when they are sorting downloads or making a video. Identification is fine. Redistributing the artwork is not something this guide does.
How to tell a real shortcut from a repack
The PC game's executable is SPEED2.EXE. Underground 1 is speed.exe. A zip that offers "NFSU2 logo png" plus a crack is not a brand asset. Official cover art on Wikipedia is tagged fair use and is low resolution. It is a reference, not a press kit.
The mark in our header
The lime "NFSU2" in the corner of this website is typeset text plus a simple favicon drawn for the site. It is not a trace of EA's logo. See the disclaimer.
Fonts
If you are replacing the in-game font, the tool with a repository is xan1242/NFS_CustomFont, also linked from HUD mods. The Neue Helvetica suggestion lives on a forum thread and is unverified. I am not stating it as the menu font.

Questions people ask
Can I download the official logo here?
No. EA's marks stay with EA. The header on this site is a text wordmark we drew. It is not their logo.
What does a real PC icon look like?
The retail executable is SPEED2.EXE. A shortcut with that name beside a 2004-style cover is the usual PC icon. Cover scans are copyrighted.
Is the menu font Neue Helvetica?
A dafont forum thread suggested that. It is a low-confidence guess, not a foundry confirmation. Do not buy a font on that basis.
